Talking About Accessible Beaches in My Weekly Magazine

My Weekly Beach Special

A couple of months ago we were approached by My Weekly magazine to talk about accessible beaches. At first, I thought it was a bit of a wind-up, I mean, a national magazine wanting to interview The Bimblers?

Anyway, once we’d established it wasn’t a wind up we arranged to be interviewed by phone.

It turned out, this wasn’t just a simple interview, they were planning on doing a full two-page summer special about accessible beaches and apparently “The Bimblers” are the people to ask – Woop, Woop!!!

On reflection, we do talk about accessible beaches quite often so it made perfect sense to ask us about them.

So without further ado, let me introduce you to our first national magazine interview.

If you’d like to read more of our thoughts on accessible beaches and beach wheelchairs have a read of a post I wrote on Disability Horizons a while back Accessible Beaches and Beach Wheelchairs.

And before you start sending me emails, I know I promised to write a full list of accessible beaches and locations with beach wheelchairs but I’ve been sick so please cut me some slack!

Where would you like to go next?

About The Bimblers 126 Articles
The Bimblers is a personal blog about living with chronic pain, invisible illness and disability. It's about travelling in a wheelchair and accessible travel. It's about picking ourselves up when we get knocked down. And, it's about what we can do, not what we can't!
