Disability and Accessible Tourism on Disability Horizons

Travelling with a disability

I can’t believe I haven’t written about my monthly column on Disability Horizons. What makes it worse, I’m actually quite proud of the posts I’ve written. So, here’s a quick introduction to my monthly column and what I’ve been up to.

Srin approached me and asked would I be interested in submitting a few articles and before I knew it, I had a monthly column, effectively I became a #DHguru which is a high accolade to hold.

Writing for Disability Horizons

Writing for Disability Horizons is probably the highlight of my blogging career so far, and becoming a #DHguru just makes it so much sweeter because I’m writing alongside some of the top influencers on the accessible tourism scene.

Initially, I was planning on writing about trips and stuff, I still will, but given the size of the DH audience I couldn’t resist the opportunity to talk about and promote accessible tourism, here are some of the articles I’ve written so far:

What is Accessible Tourism and Who Cares Anyway

This post started off as a rant in my head, as the words hit the page it morphed into a thought piece and IMHO became quite a decent read…

Accessible Tourism – Movers, Shakers and Influencers

I am very grateful for the support and encouragement we’ve received, and I wanted to publicly recognise the people who’ve helped us…

The Accessible Tourism Dilemma

I was ill in bed when I wrote this one, it just sort of come out of my head that way…

It would be great if you could support my column before Martyn and Srin figure out I’m not really a guru, I’m just passionate about helping wheelchair users travel more…

It would really help if you shared this post :-) Thanks!!!
